TWO SHORT BALLETS THE BALD SOPRANO AND THEY PREMIERED ON “RAŠA PLAOVIĆ” STAGE
Within the project “The Evening of Young Choreographers”, two short ballets The Bald Soprano and They premiered on “Raša Plaović” Stage on Saturday, 17th January.
The Bald Soprano is choreographed and directed by Dejan Kolarov, a soloist in the National Theatre in Belgrade. The cast: Milan Rus (Mr. Smith), Ivana Savić (Mrs. Smith), Dušan Milosavljević (Mr. Martin), Sanja Ninković (Mrs. Martin), Tatjana Popović (Mary, the maid) and Taylor Clow (The Fire Chief).
Jasna Saramandić designed the set and Katarina Grčić designed the costumes.
They is choreographed and directed by Đorđe Makarević, a principal dancer in the Terazije Theatre Ballet, who cast the roles to Ana Pavlović (Mother), Milica Bajčetić (Son – as a boy), Igor Pastor (Son – adult), Tatjana Popović (Grandmother), Brankica Mandić (Victim), Jovana Nestorovska (Victim), Dejana Zlatanovska (Victim) and Miloš Marijan (Victim).
Ida Ignjatović designed the set and the costumes.
The project “The Evening of Young Choreographers” was initiated by the management of the Ballet Company of the National Theatre in Belgrade, in order to give a chance to creative ballet artists and open new opportunities for them.
